  • Surti Kolam rice

India Gate Surti Kolam rice is a medium sized grain which is widely preferred in southern India and largely cultivated in the peninsular region of Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh. It is well cherished for its soft texture, fresh feel and a distinct floral aroma when cooked. It is light in weight with an easily digestible quotient and is popularly known as ‘miniature pearls of exquisite delicacies’ widely used for preparation of rice porridge in many Indian festivals.

A miracle fed by the pristine waters of Cauvery and Krishna river, nurtured by the pure air and soil of south India, encasing the aroma and taste in every grain of rice. The best harvest of the region is identified and then quality tested—before it’s sent for cleaning, milling and packaging at India’s most advance and high end rice manufacturing plant.
