According to him, the authorities have also chosen to use Farmer Producer Organizations, Panchayats, and Self Help Groups in addition to opening more procurement centres that are aimed at production hotspots and mobile procurement centres. Aside from that, he continued, the government has made sure that agencies have working money to guarantee that farmers receive their MSP payments within 48 hours. The secretary went on to say that real-time procurement monitoring and agency coordination are now possible thanks to the establishment of a central control centre at the FCI headquarters in Delhi.

The wheat production is estimated to be a record 112 million tonnes during 2023-24, compared to last year's 110 million tonnes as per the agriculture ministry.
